Ciara & Jack's Wedding at Three Choirs Wickham

Cool, bohemian 90’s themed wedding

So much to talk about for this wedding!

Ciara & Jack are one of those cool couples. You know the ones, it’s almost effortless for them. After the chats we had about their wedding I knew their day was going to be pretty special and not least because of the suppliers that they had chosen to work with.

I arrived as Ciara was getting ready with her bridesmaids whilst my second shooter Rachel went to meet the boys in the pub not far from the venue; Three Choirs Vineyard in Wickham, Hampshire. Ciara had chosen this amazing little house to get ready in. It’s seriously quirky and has actually been featured in Ideal Homes Magazine for that very reason, so it provides the perfect backdrop for bridal prep photos. Happy Me!

So lets get back to the pretty things! Ciara’s dress, from designer Eliza Jane Howell was so pretty and I can’t imagine a dress that would have suited her any better. Loose Hollywood curls, deep red lips, the perfect, glamorous autumnal bride vibe.  Flowers by the epic Lily Lupin Floral Design were just amazing! I’ve wanted to shoot a wedding with this florist for aaaages and she didn’t disappoint and naturally Ciara was thrilled with them.

The morning whizzed by and the Bridesmaids were the first to be collect by the wedding car, a cool Ford Zepyhr. As standard it was pretty crazy getting them out of the door but as it closed a tranquil silence (well, apart from Ciara & Jacks miniature dachshund’s telling me off!) fell over the house and it was just Ciara left to get ready. We got some beautiful shots of her as she was waiting the car to arrive.

The ceremony itself was perfect, Ciara’s Gran was the celebrant (they did the legal bit a few days before), it adds such a personal touch, even if we did nearly get blown away by the crazy winds!

After an amazing meal from Wild Gastro I headed back in for speeches. I hear a lot of wedding speeches and I’m usually just focusing on the guests reactions but Jack’s speech about loved ones that have passed was really beautiful and brought a tear to the eye of quite a few guests.

Dance floor time ensued and everyone was busy getting down with their bad selves as I packed up my gear and headed home after a truly magnificent way to spend my last wedding of 2018.

Here’s some of my favourite shots from the day.
