Southampton Art Gallery / Hanger Farm Arts Centre Wedding
Georgie & James' unique and fun wedding!
When Georgie contacted me she was very clear about what she wanted. To simply be married to James. They didn't want a fancy wedding. They wanted to just promise to love each other forever in front of their favourite people and have a fabulous celebration after. Which is exactly what they did.
The ceremony was at Southampton City Art Gallery. George and James had added splashes of colour in keeping with the rest of the wedding and the Harpist has some special request from this Eurovision Song Contest loving pair (yup, Eurovision!).
The reception was at Hanger Farm Arts Centre. Georgie and James decorated the venue all by themselves - including all the flowers and bouquets - and planned the whole day with their guests enjoyment being top priority. Everyone arrived at Hanger Farm to a generous spread of cheese, meats, breads, antipasti, crackers, chutneys, nuts - the perfect choice for an cold January wedding. The reception room was colourful and fun, such a reflection of their personalities. Girls favours were light up flower crowns and the guys has glowstick glasses. Everyone had a disco whistle! The head table had a back drop of rainbow streamers and fairy lights - it was so effective.
Guests were then treated to fresh wood fired pizza from Truly Scrumptious and after my own generous helping (healthy January Shmanuary) can confirm, it was amazing! Followed by fresh coffee from the coffee van.
After speeches the guests really just wanted to dance so the party kicked off and people hit the dance floor. Which is pretty much where they stayed! I managed to take Georgie and James off for a few couple portraits and a little breather, braving the cold like Bosses!
Throughly fun day, thanks so much for having me. If anyone reading is looking for a wedding photographer in Hampshire then get in touch! Some dates for 2018 are still available and you're certainly not too early to book for 2019!
