Somerley House Wedding Photography

When the beautiful Somerley House agreed for me to use their incredible wedding venue to host my bridal fashion shoot I was very excited. This gorgeous period mansion has been used by The Crown and Bridgerton for Netflix and when you step inside you can see why. It is such a perfect wedding venue and it’s only 30. minutes from my home in Hampshire.

For this shoot I knew I wanted to go for a fashion editorial vibe. I mixed up the editing a little to be in keeping with this and I’m really happy with the results.

Our Bride (model, Chrissie) wore Vera Wang Bridal that was generously loaned to us by Hannah Elizabeth Bridal. Being a Bride doesn’t have to mean demure or reserved. It’s a great opportunity to showcase your personality through your bridal fashion and show how stylish you are and in reflection, how stylish wedding photography can be.

For the first look we went for a casual wave, with the second look a sleek knot. The hair was perfect and I’m grateful to Tori at Riot Hairdressing for giving up her time to be with us!

Make up was by the amazing Amy Richards make up, who as a recent Bride herself knows exactly how to keep make up modern and stylish for todays Bride.

Botany and Blossom provided us with a dreamy bouquet that really compliments the whole look and was the perfect size.

Freya Rose London provided us with a modern shoe to go with the Vera Wang dresses. I just love how they work so well. We completed the look with some beautiful understated earring from White Design Bridal.

I just love how everything came together. I wanted a modern bridal fashion look with an editorial photography vibe and I’m pretty happy with the results. What do you think?
