2017 Highlights

My personal favourites bits from this year...

The writing part of a blog post doesn't come very easily to me! I find it hard to explain my experiences and feelings on the year without coming across as overly sentimental or cheesy. I'm neither of those things! It was also insanely difficult to choose 'favourites'. This post could easily have had 400 images!
I guess a good place to start is by stating that my couples this year have been amazing! We have got on so well! As a photographer - or any creative for that mater - there's nothing better that your client simply trusting you to just get on with your job. It really allows me to document their day in an individual way and allows them to just enjoy it, which is what it's all about! 
Being a Hampshire wedding photographer means I'm pretty spoilt for choice when it comes to venues. I've shot a some new venues this year - ones that had been on my lust list - such as Horsebridge Station (on thee hottest day of the year!), Southend Barns, Tournerbury Woods and the beautiful Sopley Mill.  As well as a few visits to my favourite Hill Place. It's great to work somewhere new but it's also amazing to visit places that you have been before and have worked out all those sweet spots to get those special shots. I've worked with some awesome photographers and had some awesome photographers work with me, not to mention some wonderful suppliers (my favourites are the ones who feed me well!). 
I could go on, but I won't. But I will end with thanking each and every one of my couple's who have chosen me to capture their wedding day. When I started this business just taking pictures of children, I had no idea that years later it would be going from strength to strength and my passion for wedding photography would be still be growing. I have some equally amazing couple's to work with next year and some fabulous new venues and I can't wait to get started! Here's to 2018. May it be a Happy New Year! xx
