a 2024 round up

Looking Back on 2024.

As 2024 came to an end, I’ve reflected on the incredible year that it was. Once again, I had the honour of witnessing so many (33 to be precise) couples start a new chapter surrounded by their favourite people, and it reminded me, time and again, what weddings are really about: love and life. I promise the cheese ends there.

I was welcomed into families for a day, made friends with bridesmaids, heard more stories shared in speeches and watched generations come together on the dance floor. I’ve captured those quiet, in-between moments where emotions are unspoken but deeply felt. These are the kinds of moments that stick with me long after the final photos are delivered. Wow, I said no more cheese.

Every wedding has its own energy. Some raucous with big characters and a big party. Others are quieter, more intimate, where you can almost feel time slow down. What strikes me is how personal every celebration is. No matter the size or style, each couple finds a way to make their day completely their own, and being there to document that is a privilege I never take for granted.

To everyone I’ve worked with this year—thank you. Whether you were in front of the camera, organising behind the scenes, or simply cheering from the sidelines, your trust and collaboration made every moment possible.

As we head into 2025, I’m excited for the new stories, new faces, and new memories waiting to be captured. Here’s to another year of unforgettable celebrations.

Happy New Year,

Nic
