At Home Photography // Barnaby & Albert

I can’t help but start by saying how much I loved this family session at Harriot and Ben’s Home in Hampshire. Harriot isn’t a photographer but she takes some really lovely, natural shots of her Boys and she really wanted someone to do the same but capture her and her husband with the Boys too.
We had a few chats and decided that I would casually hang around with them on a Sunday afternoon and snap away as the Boys did ‘things’. Play with toys, read books, run around. Rather than spend the focus of energy on getting them to look at the camera and smile.
The shyness didn’t take long to evaporate and we descended into hyper-run-around mode and I love the images I captured of B running around his bedroom. After some train set calm down, we popped him at the window with a book that was passed down from his Grandmas childhood. I love capturing a serious face. Just as much as the smiles. The little fingers on the pages of the book or the handle of a walker.
I have lots of images like this of my own children. Years ago my camera was always out and they didn't know any different.
I hope you like the images from this lovely At Home session. Photos are so important, and more so as time goes by.
If you’d like a natural, family lifestyle photo shoot At Home then do get in touch. I’d love to chat about it.
